Counselling and Psychotherapy

The goal of therapy is to help you to explore and resolve difficult, painful or traumatic situations by talking to someone who is not involved and does not judge. Counselling can be particularly helpful during a crisis or time of change, and can help you to sort through your thoughts and feelings not giving you the solutions but exploring possibilities with you. It is usually short term and focused on solving specific problems.

In Psychotherapy you can examine the background to what may be troubling you, and look at how long established patterns of behavior learnt in the past may be hindering a satisfying life today. Becoming aware of the pattern learn will help you to implement behavioral changes.

Integrative Humanistic/Existential approach help individuals work through their problems by promoting self-awareness and personal growth. By analyzing and altering specific patterns of response, this therapeutic approach helps a person realize his or her potential, as well as gaining independence and power in his or her life .

I will help you to explore your thoughts and feelings and how they are affecting your life. I will support you in making the right decisions for you, as you know best what is right for you and your life.

The interventions undertaken in my clinical practice range from short term in crisis or punctual issues such as relationship break-up, bereavement, stress or work issues, to longer term looking at deeper level issues that may have their roots in the client’s past, such abuse issues or trauma in childhood, which are affecting the client’s present life.

Couple/Relationship Therapy

As adults, we bring to our relationships patterns, values and beliefs that we developed growing up.

Sometimes we can find hard to communicate and meet our needs and expectations.

A life change such as illness or bereavement, financial struggles or approaching new life stages may increase the stress in relationships.

I provide a safe space to help you figure out where is your relationship going.

Teenagers and Adolescents Therapy

Therapy for teens addresses specific developmental issues, including family concerns, academic challenges or social and peer pressures.

Adolescence is the period of transition between childhood and adulthood. Children entering adolescence are going through many changes in their bodies and brains. These include physical, intellectual, psychological and social challenges, as well as development of their own moral compass.
